ELOSTA TROPHY FISH CONTEST 2011-2012

The 2010-2011 Trophy Fish Contest  will continue  to the seasonal conclusion of the Steelhead, Brown Trout, and Walleye divisions on  March 31st 2012 .

The  2011 "Trophy Plaque" winners are as follows:

CHINOOK SALMON…. Chris Fisher, Arlington VT.............31 Lbs, 8oz.
COHO SALMON…Jerry Lougnot, Cicero NY ....14 Lbs 15oz.
LAKE TROUT .... John Dubbelde Castleton, NY ............ 16Lb, 1oz.

Lake Trout Tropy Patch...... Kevin Fuller, Middleburg, NY .... 15lbs. 6oz.

There were no entries in the Walleye. Brown Trout, Steelhead and Bass divisions.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS !!

The 2012-2013 contest begins on April 1, 2012. All fish entered that meet the minimum weight qualifications will earn the contestant a Trophy Patch with the appropriate chevron. The winners of each division receive a handsome plaque with an inlaid photo of the catch. In addition, all winners are guests at our annual picnic/derby which takes place the 1st Saturday in August. The plaques are awarded at the picnic.

The minimum weights are as follows:
Chinook Salmon…..25lbs.                     Steelhead……….12lbs.
Coho Salmon……...12lbs.                     Walleye…………10lbs.
Brown Trout………12lbs.                      Bass……………...3lbs.
  Lake Trout………...16lbs.                     Atlantic Salmon….10lbs.

The “Lake Caught” portion of the contest starts April 1st. and ends Sept. 30th for Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon and Lake Trout. The contest continues until Nov. 30th for Bass, March 15th for Walleye and March 31st for Steelhead and Brown Trout. In addition we have a “Stream Caught” contest for Brown Trout and Steelhead that starts Oct. 1st and ends March 31st. Fish caught from a drift boat are “Lake Caught for contest purposes.

Let’s hope every member takes home a trophy this year
