Common names: silver salmon, sea trout, blueback
Coho's' are similar in appearance to the Chinook salmon but, are much smaller at maturity. During the lake-run cycle they exhibit the familiar blue/green metallic coloration, shiny silver, sometimes pinkish, sides, and a few  black spots on the back, dorsal and upper part of the tail. Like the Chinook, the Coho's pigmentation morphs to a blackish color during the spawning season. Unlike the Chinook the inside of a Coho's mouth is white with a black tongue See Chinook.
